Congressman Fine Continues to Deliver Incredible Results for Florida's Sixth District

September 19, 2025
In my nearly 6 months in office, I have delivered real results and brought resources to our district. So far, my team and I have secured over $20 million in existing federal funds- not new debt- for local projects. An additional $3.7 million came through just today! This includes nearly $10 million to restore Flagler County Beaches after the destruction of Hurricane Milton and the modernization of the Executive Airport. Funding has also been released for a Wastewater Treatment Facility Modernization Project, which will provide the district with sorely needed infrastructure funding to deliver clean water. In Washington, my Republican colleagues and I passed the DOGE Cuts Rescissions Package. This codifies President Trump’s executive orders by rescinding the Democrats’ foreign policy funding agenda, providing transparency on wasteful spending, and eliminating the use of federal funds for LGBTQ indoctrination for children. For example, it takes $567,000 away from queer studies programs in Uganda, rescinds the $3 million in funding for Iraqi Sesame Street, and eliminates federal funding of leftist propaganda networks like PBS and NPR. I was proud to be the tie-breaking vote that passed President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut in July, providing tax relief that families in our district need. This bill secures policies like no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on social security, while also preserving the child tax credit from expiring. This bill also removes illegal aliens from our Medicaid rolls, secures funding to deport them, eliminates the left's Green New Scam, raises wages in Florida, and protects 408,000 Florida jobs, according to the White House. Finally, according to the White House, this Act includes over $1.7 trillion in mandatory savings. None of this would be possible without the strong leadership of President Trump and House Republicans. I am working hard every day in Congress for the families and workers of Florida’s 6th congressional district. I will not stop fighting until America comes first. |
