-
Veteran-Centered Care: Reform the VA so that veterans receive timely, respectful, and effective care. The emergency room at the VA hospital should not serve as the de-facto primary care provider for any veteran. Veterans should have their own doctor with reasonable appointment schedules for routine medical treatment.
-
Expand Transition Support and Job Training: Increase opportunities for servicemembers moving into civilian life by providing resources to secure meaningful employment. Support programs like Skillbridge, Yellow Ribbon, and the Veteran Readiness and Employment Programs.
I will work with local partners, veteran service organizations, and federal agencies to make sure every veteran receives the care, respect, and support they have earned.
